Architecture Collective

Studio Team

Funbalcony Plims Info was founded on a simple observation: millions of city dwellers pay substantial rent for apartment square footage, yet leave their balconies neglected as dusty, drafty dead space. Our independent architectural collective specializes in turning 2-to-6-square-meter urban ledges into fully functional outdoor rooms without violating lease terms.

Interior architects examining modular deck layouts and balcony elevation blueprints on design table

Our Core Spatial Philosophy

We reject the idea that micro-footprints require compromise. By applying disciplined structural zoning principles—borrowed from naval yacht architecture and aerospace cabin ergonomics—we maximize three-dimensional airspace:

  • Zero Facade Modification: Every blueprint utilizes clamping systems, non-destructive friction pads, or modular floating grids.
  • Circulation Priority: Outdoor spaces must remain easy to navigate; floor pathways remain unobstructed.
  • Material Integrity: We specify marine-grade polymers, FSC-certified hardwoods, and solution-dyed yarns engineered to withstand wind, rain, and UV extremes.

The Collective Leads

Lead Architect

Elena Vance, RIBA

Specializing in compact urban housing and high-rise envelope conversions across London, Berlin, and Rotterdam. Pioneer of non-destructive balustrade clamp interfaces.

Horticultural Engineer

Marcus Reed, MSc

Urban botanist researching wind microclimates and self-sustaining capillary irrigation for elevated apartment living walls.

Open-Access Engineering

All calculations, material comparisons, and layout blueprints published on funbalconyplims.info are provided freely to empower urban renters worldwide. We believe access to open air, greenery, and restorative morning sunlight is essential to mental wellbeing in high-density cities.
